State TB Training & Demonstration Centre, Ahmedabad is the first Intermediate Reference Laboratory in any state of India, which has been accredited for diagnosis of Multi Drug Resistant Tuberculosis and Culture & DST.

              Director of Tuberculosis Research Centre (TRC), Chennai (Supra-National Laboratory) and other team members along with the representatives of Govt. of India have visited Intermediate Reference Laboratory situated at State TB Training & Demonstration Centre, Civil Hospital Campus, Ahmedabad and declared this laboratory as an accredited laboratory. This is a land-mark in the history of TB control activities, where in the state level laboratory in the government set up has been given this honour.
