WALK-IN INTERVIEW
OCTOBER - 2008
Applications in Prescribed forms are invited from
Medical/Dental candidates of general/ reserved
category for appointment on Purely Temporary and
ad-hoc basis for the following vacant posts of
Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor
and Tutors in Government Medical / Dental Colleges
of the State. Waiting list will also be prepared for
future vacancies in the same subjects and cadres.
Prescribed application form will be available at all
the govt. Medical / Dental Colleges. Candidates
appointed on ad-hoc basis will be required to appear
before the Gujarat Public Services Commission for
selection as and when the posts are advertised by
GPSC.
Merit list will be prepared of Class-I (1) Jamnagar,
Rajkot & Bhavnagar posts Separately (2) Ahmedabad,
Vadodara & Surat posts posts Separately and (3) All
Tutor Class II Merit list will be prepared in
Ahmedabad.
In the event of non-availability of full time
candidates, candidates for full time contract basis
also will be considered till the regular candidates
are available.
The selection /
waiting list will remain valid for a period of one
year or till another advertisement is published
whichever is earlier.
Pay and allowances
will be as per existing Rules of the Government.
Tutor category
candidate should apply for maximum two subjects.
ESSENTIAL
QUALIFICATIONS:-
Qualifications and
Teaching experience should be as per Government
recruitment rules.
In the event of
non availability of Medical candidates for the post
of Assistant Professor in Anatomy, Biochemistry and
Pharmacology, the persons having prescribed
qualification as per RR in the subject concerned
from medical faculty may be considered for
appointment. Qualification from only medical
faculty of respective university will be
considered.
Those who are working in Government Medical/Dental
Colleges in Gujarat State on adhoc or otherwise on
same cadre need not apply.

Age limit is relax able for SC / ST / SEBC
candidates of Gujarat as per existing Government
rules in force. The Candidates of SEBC Category
should submit latest Crimilayor Certificate from
Competent authority.
The candidates shall be required to pass the
examination of "CCC+" level course. as may be
determined by the Government from time to time as
per Govt. G.A.D. Notification No. GS/2006/31/KTP/
102005/1519/K. Dated.-30-09-06.
The candidate selected and appointed during this
interview will not be considered for the change of
posting place.
The candidates should come in person and bring their
applications with original and Xerox copies of
degree certificate, mark sheet (Final MBBS/BDS, PG
passing Attempt), Cast Certificate, Teaching
Experience, Birth Date Certificate, Research
Publication, Registration Certificate of MBBS & PG
qualification from Gujarat Medical Council and
Passport size photograph while appearing for
interview at the above mentioned address.
