“Medical Tourism: Destination Gujarat” Given the outstanding human resource talent available, along with the setting up of world-class medical facilities, Gujarat is now poised to launch itself into a leadership position in the fast emergent arena of Medical Tourism. Health care in Gujarat is witnessing the first signs of globalisation with large inflow of international patients. Gujarat’s Healthcare sector has made impressive strides in recent years and is surging ahead with new facilities and technology. Without doubt, if Gujarat is to fulfil its ambition to take its rightful place amongst the leaders, it must necessarily begin to address the many challenges ahead of it in a comprehensive manner. It is with this objective in mind that Govt. of Gujarat and CII (Western Region) are pleased to announce a conference “Medical Tourism: Destination Gujarat” scheduled for 15th October 2004 at Ahmedabad. The conference would focus on the potential and emerging opportunities in healthcare sector in Gujarat essentially to harness medical tourism opportunities and will be a common platform for eminent healthcare leaders of our country to share their perspective as well as propose the way forward for the healthcare providers in the state. For Whom The one-day conference would provide a unique opportunity for the representatives from the hospital industry, tourism industry, international groups and organisations, doctors, concerned Government departments, insurance companies/ TPAs, medical associations/ institutions, and consultants to assemble on a single platform.
