New Initiatives
1.(1) Drug Logistic Information & Monitoring System :-
NIC has prepared special software modules for C.M.S.O. These software modules are already implemented. 435 D.D.O. (Direct Demanding Officers) are sending their indent online through these modules. Purchase orders and issue of drugs are also carried out through these modules.
(2) E-tendering :-
C.M.S.O. has implemented e-tendering through (n) code solutions of GNFC since last two years. C.M.S.O. is the second Organization of Gujarat after the GNFC to e-tender all the items in the State. CMSO is in the forefront to e-tender all items of drugs and medical equipments in the country.
(3) Strengthening of C.M.S.O. through NRHM :-
Central warehouse and regional warehouses are being upgraded and equipped with the help of NRHM fund.
(4) Pre-dispatch testing :-
A proposal is under consideration for the “empanelment of testing laboratories” for testing of all the batches of the drugs purchased by C.M.S.O. After its implementation, all the batches will be tested for the qualities.
(5) Decentralization (Regional warehouse) :-
Four regional warehouses at Amreli, Jamnagar, Patan &
Surat are being commissioned so that the storage and
distribution of drugs can be effectively made. Regional
warehouse, Amreli is inaugurated by the Hon. Chief
Minister of Gujarat State on 1st May, 2008.
