N.R.I. seats have to pay an equivalent
amount in Indian Rupees.

is provided by the management of self-financing
institutions.

All candidates of all categories
are eligible for admission on payment
seats.

If any payment seats remain vacant,
they are offered to candidates with
next lower merit according to the
merit list, till they are filled up.
Usually not a single payment seat
remains vacant.

Admission on payment seats are
done strictly on merit basis according
to the same merit list as for the
free seats. Only students admitted
on payment seats have to pay higher
fees.

Payment seats
are available in self financed colleges
but these colleges have to charge
fees fixed by the Government. So
the same amount of fees is charged
by all the self financed colleges.
